Idle No More
Searches for this protest movement peaked in mid-January, however it remains 2013’s fastest rising search term in Canada. Regionally, Canada's prairie provinces show the highest search volume, with Manitoba - where the Idle No More protests originated - taking the lead.
The return of the NHL!
After a long hockey-less fall where NFL searches outpaced NHL-related searches for the first time since we started collecting data, professional hockey is once-again surging on Google as regular (albeit shortened) season got underway.
